About the Role
Pacific International Drilling S.A. is a rapidly expanding global offshore drilling company operating some of the world's most technologically advanced ultra-deepwater drillships. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief Electrical / Electronic Supervisor to join our high-performing team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all electrical and electronic systems aboard our high-specification vessels, maintaining our unwavering commitment to safety, integrity, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate all electrical and electronic maintenance, repair, and testing operations onboard the drillship.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime standards, company policies, and strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Read, interpret, and update electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and technical drawings.
- Manage the Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) to minimize equipment downtime and optimize asset reliability.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate the onboard electrical engineering team to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with shore-based management and technical teams regarding spares, repairs, and project execution.
- Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience as a 3rd Engineer or Oiler; offshore drilling operations experience is strongly preferred.
- Valid Unlimited 3rd or Assistant Engineer Steam, Gas Turbine, or Diesel national license, where applicable.
- Educational background including SSCE/WAEC/GCE O Level, with OND, HND, or B.Sc. in a related engineering discipline highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated expertise in reading technical drawings and managing pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Must be a Nigerian resident currently living in Nigeria with fluent oral and written English communication skills.
