About the Role
Christ The Redeemer's International Secondary School, located in ChristHill, Sagamu, is seeking a qualified and passionate Chemistry Teacher to join our academic team. As part of the Christ The Redeemer's School Movement (CRSM), an educational arm of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) under the directorate of Children & Teens Education, we are committed to providing world-class education grounded in Christian values.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive chemistry curriculum aligned with national educational standards
- Create engaging lesson plans that promote active student participation and critical thinking
- Conduct practical laboratory experiments and demonstrations to enhance student understanding
- Assess student progress through regular tests, assignments, and examinations
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
- Provide academic mentorship and guidance to students
- Participate in staff development programs and school activities
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages scientific inquiry
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Chemistry or related field
- Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in a recognized secondary school
- Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts and laboratory safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for education and student development
