We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Chemistry Teacher to inspire our students and deliver engaging science lessons that promote critical thinking and scientific inquiry within a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive Chemistry lessons in accordance with the approved Nigerian secondary school curriculum.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, orderly, and conducive learning environment for all students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely, constructive feedback through quizzes, tests, practical laboratory sessions, and examinations.
- Maintain accurate academic records and prepare periodic student reports for school management and parents.
- Supervise students during laboratory experiments, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Participate actively in school extracurricular activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
- Uphold and promote the moral and ethical values of the Catholic-owned institution.
- Minimum of Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) or a relevant degree in Chemistry education or a related subject area.
- Mandatory possession of an NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
- Proven teaching experience in a recognized secondary school setting will be an added advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex chemical concepts clearly.
