Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive chemistry lessons in accordance with the approved Nigerian and international secondary school curricula.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular, constructive feedback to students, parents, and school administration.
- Design and supervise practical laboratory experiments, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Create a stimulating, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and active student participation.
- Prepare students effectively for internal examinations as well as external assessments such as WAEC, NECO, and UTME.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, school events, professional development workshops, and extracurricular activities.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (B.Sc. Chemistry), Bachelor of Education in Chemistry (B.Ed.), or a related field; a Master's degree or TRCN certification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant teaching experience in a recognized secondary school setting.
- Deep understanding of secondary school chemistry curricula, teaching methodologies, and laboratory management.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills with the ability to engage diverse learners.
- Must reside in or be willing to commute easily to Ilasamaja, Mushin, Lagos, Nigeria.
