About the Role
The Lamb Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our dynamic faculty at our newly established campus along Lotto/Shimawa Road, Mowe. In this role, you will inspire students through innovative, practical chemistry lessons utilizing our state-of-the-art science laboratories and modern technological tools. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned Chemistry lessons to secondary school students.
- Prepare students for internal examinations as well as external assessments, including IGCSE.
- Conduct safe and effective practical laboratory experiments to enhance theoretical understanding.
- Integrate ICT tools and digital resources effectively into daily classroom instruction.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic records.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the science department to develop and improve the chemistry curriculum.
- Participate actively in school extracurricular activities, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development programs.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed) with a specialization in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline from a reputable institution.
- Possession of a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or a Master's degree will be a strong added advantage.
- Must be a registered member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant post-qualification teaching experience, preferably within an international school setting.
- Proficiency in using ICT and modern educational technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Working knowledge of the IGCSE curriculum is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
