Premiere Academy, a leading coeducational boarding secondary school in Lugbe, Abuja, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Chemistry Teacher to join our academic team. Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging chemistry lessons aligned with school curriculum and international standards
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, tests, and examination questions
- Teach chemistry concepts using practical examples, experiments, and appropriate teaching resources
- Conduct and supervise practical laboratory experiments while maintaining strict safety protocols
- Assess student understanding and monitor academic progress through continuous evaluation
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students requiring additional assistance
- Prepare students effectively for WAEC, NECO, IGCSE, and other external examinations
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and academic development
- Utilise technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development programmes, and school activities
- Maintain effective classroom management and promote a positive learning environment
- Communicate with management regarding student performance and academic concerns
- Bachelor's degree (BSc or B.Ed) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Education (Chemistry)
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in reputable secondary schools
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian secondary school chemistry curriculum
- Proven experience preparing students for WAEC, NECO, and IGCSE examinations
- Excellent practical laboratory skills with ability to conduct experiments safely
- Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with technology and digital learning tools
- Professional teaching qualification (TRCN, PGDE, or equivalent) is advantageous
