About the Role

TAAS College, Ibadan, a reputable co-educational institution established in the Islamic tradition, is seeking a qualified, experienced, and passionate Chemistry / Intermediate (Basic) Science Teacher to join our dynamic academic team in a serene and conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Chemistry and Intermediate (Basic) Science effectively to secondary school students.
  • Prepare comprehensive lesson notes, schemes of work, and assessment materials.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on students' academic progress and performance.
  • Maintain accurate academic records and participate in student developmental programs.
  • Engage in school activities, staff meetings, and continuous professional development.
  • Uphold and support the school's vision, mission, and Islamic core values.

Qualifications
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc. / B.Ed.) in Chemistry, Integrated Science, Science Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 to 7 years of proven teaching experience in a reputable secondary school.
  • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of Nigerian and relevant secondary school science curricula.
  • Proven ability to successfully prepare students for internal and external examinations.
  • Excellent classroom management, lesson delivery, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of ICT and modern educational technology tools.
  • Possession of a Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification is a strong added advantage.
