About the Role
Scruples Resources, a premier provider of consultancy, resource development, and human resource solutions across the Nigerian economy, is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Chemical Operator. In this role, you will play a vital part in our manufacturing process, ensuring that all chemical reactions, blending procedures, and material transfers are executed safely and in strict accordance with product specifications. We are looking for a proactive professional who can meticulously follow complex formulas, monitor sensitive equipment, and maintain optimal production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Follow detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures, and product specifications to add precise amounts of raw materials into vessels or blending tanks.
- Set controls in the specified sequence on control panels to initiate automatic feeds and adjust valves to regulate liquid and solid materials.
- Weigh out accurate quantities of powdered or liquid chemicals strictly following formula sheets and production guidelines.
- Start and monitor the feed of solid or semi-solid materials through various equipment units, including mills, heating vessels, and mixing tanks.
- Adjust controls and valves to maintain the manufacturing system at specified temperature, pressure, and vacuum levels.
- Observe chemical reactions, monitor gauges, instruments, and data recorders, and coordinate with analytical laboratories to make necessary operating adjustments.
- Draw product samples at specified synthesis stages and perform standard quality tests to ensure manufacturing efficiency and compliance.
- Attach hoses, pumps, and transfer equipment to safely move completed slurry to holding areas or manufacturing coating equipment.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational qualification with a demonstrated enhanced ability in mathematics and/or science.
- Possession of updated, passing WorkKeys scores as required for industrial processing roles.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on working experience within a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of chemical handling safety protocols, equipment controls, and quality assurance testing.
