About the Role
Petromech Engineering United Limited is a leading waste management and industrial recycling company based in Kaduna, Nigeria, specializing in sustainable base oil and engine oil production. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Chemical Engineer or Chemist to drive our plant operations, laboratory testing, and quality assurance processes. In this pivotal role, you will optimize production yields, oversee waste oil treatment, and ensure all manufactured lubricants meet stringent industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and support waste oil treatment and base oil production processes including dehydration, vacuum distillation, bleaching, and filtration.
- Assess incoming raw materials and waste oil to determine processing suitability.
- Prepare and improve lubricant blends according to approved formulations and additive dosages.
- Perform critical laboratory tests including viscosity, density, flash point, pour point, water content, and total acid number.
- Investigate production problems and quality deviations in coordination with technical teams.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment while ensuring complete safety compliance.
- Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Industrial Chemistry.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in waste oil recycling, lubricant manufacturing, or petroleum testing.
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in waste oil-to-base oil processing and lubricant blending.
- Familiarity with ASTM laboratory test methods and strong analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical reporting.
