About the Role

Movana Hotel & Suites is a premier 4-star boutique hotel situated in the vibrant Alimosho corporate and commercial corridor of Lagos, Nigeria. We are currently seeking a creative, passionate, and skilled Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate our dining offerings for discerning business executives and leisure travelers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute high-quality menus for our main restaurant, room service, and corporate events.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, food safety compliance, and waste reduction.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure consistent food preparation and presentation standards.
  • Collaborate with the food and beverage management team to design seasonal menus and special dining promotions.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional culinary experience in a reputable hotel, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
  • Relevant culinary school degree, diploma, or equivalent professional certification.
  • Deep knowledge of local Nigerian cuisine as well as continental and intercontinental dishes.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing kitchen teams effectively.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills under pressure.
