About the Role
Emmanuel Bakeries Limited, an established leader in Kogi State's FMCG distribution sector with over a decade of excellence, is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Checker to join our warehouse operations team. In this vital role, you will safeguard our inventory, ensure flawless order fulfillment, and uphold our commitment to reliable service delivery across our extensive distribution network.
Key Responsibilities- Verify all products thoroughly before they leave the warehouse or distribution point.
- Check product quantities meticulously against invoices, loading sheets, and dispatch documents.
- Ensure the correct assortment of products is loaded for each customer or sales representative.
- Identify shortages, excesses, damaged products, or discrepancies immediately.
- Confirm that loaded products correspond precisely with approved documentation.
- Report any operational discrepancies promptly to the appropriate supervisor.
- Assist with routine stock counting and physical inventory verification.
- Monitor loading and unloading activities to guarantee proper handling of goods during dispatch.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all checked and dispatched merchandise.
- Support periodic company-wide stock-taking exercises and audits.
- Enforce strict security measures to ensure no unauthorized products leave the facility.
- Adhere strictly to company procedures regarding stock accountability and warehouse safety.
- Minimum of an HND or B.Sc. in a relevant discipline.
- Previous working experience as a Checker, Storekeeper, Warehouse Assistant, or in a similar role is a distinct advantage.
- Prior experience within the FMCG or distribution industry is highly preferred.
- Strong numerical aptitude and exceptional observational skills.
- High level of accuracy, precision, and attention to detail.
