Dr. Peter Odili Cancer & Cardiovascular Hospital (POCCH) is a leading tertiary healthcare institution in Port Harcourt, dedicated to delivering advanced, compassionate medical care at international standards. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cathlab Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, utilizing cutting-edge technology to provide exceptional patient-centered care in cardiovascular medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs, ECG, and hemodynamic parameters continuously during procedures.
- Prepare, sterilize, and maintain specialized cathlab equipment and sterile supplies.
- Administer medications and manage emergency situations swiftly and effectively within the cathlab environment.
- Provide comprehensive pre- and post-procedure education and compassionate care to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital safety and infection control protocols.
- Current nursing license and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Post-basic qualification in Perioperative, Critical Care, or Cardiothoracic Nursing is highly advantageous.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of active clinical experience working in a cardiac catheterization laboratory.
- BLS and ACLS certifications from a recognized body.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
