About the Role
First Bank of Nigeria Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Category Analyst (Technology) to join our growing procurement team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting technology category management, optimizing tail spend, and ensuring seamless execution of sourcing activities across Nigeria's leading financial services institution.
Key Responsibilities- Support vendor meetings, performance reviews, and related activities as directed by Category Specialists and the Category Manager.
- Utilize analytical tools and ERP systems to analyze tail spend, review information, and extract data for informed decision-making.
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders and vendors regarding procurement contract administration, imaging, storage, and data entry.
- Execute administrative tasks associated with issuing RFXs and supporting early-demand planning and forecasting.
- Guide internal users in identifying proper buying channels, developing requisitions, and creating receipt reports within the system.
- Handle tactical procurement requests and enquiries from the business, ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and assist in risk identification.
- First degree in Social Sciences or a related field.
- Higher degrees or relevant professional procurement certifications will be an added advantage.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience in procurement, supply chain, or inventory management.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP tools and data extraction.
