About the Role
Salpha Energy Limited is a leading for-profit social business passionate about off-grid energy, manufacturing honest and reliable solar products designed to empower communities living without reliable electricity. We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Cashier & Inventory Officer to join our growing team in Dugbe, Ibadan, Oyo State. In this role, you will be the vital link between our customers and our financial operations, ensuring smooth checkout experiences while maintaining precise inventory records to support our mission of expanding clean energy access.
Key Responsibilities- Process customer purchases and payments accurately using cash, debit cards, cheques, or other approved tenders, ensuring seamless checkout experiences.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout station while cross-checking items to guarantee they are in optimal condition before sale.
- Balance the cash register daily, generate accurate credit and debit sales reports, and handle timely bank deposits.
- Track financial transactions on balance sheets and promptly report any discrepancies.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date records of all inventory sent to and managed at the station.
- Resolve customer complaints professionally, ensuring excellent relationship management and high satisfaction.
- Stay fully knowledgeable about all company solar products, pricing structures, and promotional offerings.
- Contribute actively to achieving branch budgeted sales and overall profit targets.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience in a cashier, inventory, or retail operations role.
- Computer savvy with excellent proficiency in Google Workspace applications.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer relationship management skills.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization abilities.
- Openness to constructive feedback and a proactive team player.
- Must reside in or around Dugbe, Ibadan, or be willing to commute easily to the location.
