About the Role
Ziba Beach Resort, Nigeria’s premier overwater beach resort, offers breathtaking views and unforgettable experiences for families and vacationers. We are seeking a dedicated and trustworthy Cashier to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this role, you will be the face of our financial transactions, ensuring that every guest enjoys a seamless and professional checkout experience while maintaining absolute financial accuracy and accountability across all resort payment channels.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately process guest payments using cash, POS terminals, bank transfers, and other approved resort payment channels.
- Confirm and verify all incoming payments thoroughly before issuing official receipts or completing transactions.
- Conduct thorough daily reconciliations of cash, POS transactions, bank transfers, and system-generated sales reports at the end of each shift.
- Promptly identify, document, and report any payment discrepancies, suspected fraudulent activities, or financial irregularities to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure checkout station while delivering warm, polite, and efficient customer service to all guests.
- Minimum of a Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a cashier, teller, or in a similar financial/customer-facing role, preferably within the hospitality or tourism sector.
- Exceptional numerical skills with high accuracy in handling cash and digital payments.
- Demonstrated high level of personal integrity, honesty, and professional ethics.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering stellar guest service.
