In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for financial transactions, ensuring every customer enjoys a seamless, efficient, and pleasant checkout experience.
Key Responsibilities- Process sales transactions efficiently by scanning products, entering prices accurately, and generating precise customer invoices or receipts.
- Handle diverse payment methods securely, including cash, debit and credit cards, and modern mobile or digital transfers.
- Reconcile cash drawers meticulously at the start and end of shifts to balance daily sales records and prevent discrepancies.
- Deliver exceptional customer care by greeting buyers warmly, answering basic product inquiries, and professionally resolving complaints.
- Manage product returns and exchanges efficiently in strict accordance with established company policies.
- Maintain a pristine checkout area by keeping the zone clean, organized, and adequately stocked with necessary operational supplies.
- Possess relevant educational qualifications and proven work experience in a cashiering or retail customer service role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating electronic cash registers, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and digital payment platforms.
- Strong numerical accuracy and keen attention to detail when handling cash and reconciling daily accounts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient, customer-first attitude.
