We are currently seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Cardiology Nurse to join our growing cardiac care team at our Awka branch in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will provide specialized care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, ensuring a professional, safe, and supportive healing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialized nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions, including heart failure, hypertension, and post-cardiac procedures.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms using ECG and telemetry systems, promptly reporting any abnormalities.
- Administer cardiac medications, IV therapies, and emergency drugs accurately as prescribed.
- Assist cardiologists during consultations, echocardiograms, stress tests, and specialized procedures.
- Educate patients and their families on heart-healthy lifestyles, medication adherence, and risk factor modification.
- Respond swiftly to cardiac emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions such as CPR and defibrillation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.N.Sc.) or Registered Nurse (RN) qualification from a recognized institution.
- Valid practicing license issued by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Completed National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate where applicable.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year focused on cardiology, CCU, or critical care.
- Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is a distinct advantage.
