About the Role
Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited, a leading household name in the Nigerian pharmaceutical industry known for trusted brands like Vitaclox and Vitamox, is seeking an experienced Capsule Filling Operator for our ultra-modern factory in Ikeja, Lagos. In this role, you will operate, monitor, and maintain capsule filling equipment to ensure efficient production while strictly adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Operate automatic and semi-automatic capsule filling machines in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures and batch manufacturing records.
- Perform machine setups, adjustments, and rapid product changeovers to achieve production targets.
- Monitor critical process parameters including fill weight, capsule locking, powder flow, and rejection rates.
- Conduct in-process quality checks and maintain accurate, compliant batch documentation.
- Perform routine cleaning, line clearance, and basic mechanical troubleshooting of production equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to minimize downtime and material wastage.
- Minimum of OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical solid dosage manufacturing, specifically with capsule filling operations.
- Thorough understanding of GMP, Good Documentation Practices, and in-process quality controls.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a high commitment to workplace safety.
- Willingness to work in controlled manufacturing environments and adhere to rotating shift schedules.
