About the Role
Sahara Group is a leading privately owned Power, Energy, Gas and Infrastructure Conglomerate established in 1996 with operating companies active in the downstream, midstream, upstream, infrastructure, and power sectors. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Support Officer to join our team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the seamless execution of upstream oil and gas operations by providing robust administrative, logistical, security, and regulatory support. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional eager to contribute to a zero-incident culture, maintain regulatory compliance with bodies such as NUPRC and NUIMS, and foster positive relationships with host communities and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with internal logistics teams to coordinate personnel movement, accommodation, and equipment deployment for field operations while monitoring resource utilization for cost efficiency.
- Support the enforcement of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards to maintain a zero-incident culture across all asset locations.
- Collaborate with internal security and government agencies to implement asset protection strategies and manage incident escalation protocols.
- Execute community engagement plans in alignment with the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) and coordinate interactions with Host Community Development Trusts (HCDTs).
- Ensure all documentation and activities comply with Nigerian regulatory bodies including NUPRC and NUIMS.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, operational updates, presentations, and dashboards for management review.
- Assist in procurement processes, vendor coordination, contract administration, and budget tracking related to logistics and security.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Good understanding of upstream oil and gas operations and the Nigerian regulatory environment (PIA, NUPRC requirements).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.

- Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
