About the Role

Azelis, a leading global innovation service provider in the specialty chemical and food ingredients industry, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Manager to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic commercial direction, drive business effectiveness, and lead a talented team to achieve ambitious targets while fostering sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve internal targets including Sales, Margin, NWC, CM, and external principal goals in alignment with EMEA segment strategies.
  • Define robust pricing and margin policies while ensuring best-in-class customer engagement through optimal CRM (Dynamics 365) and digital tool utilization.
  • Maintain and expand strong relationship networks with key customers and Principals, supervising local sales materials, exhibitions, and promotion programs.
  • Drive business effectiveness by steering process harmonization, analyzing sales costs and results, managing budgets, and overseeing A/R, A/P, and inventories.
  • Provide exceptional line management, coaching, and performance tracking for the sales team to ensure high-quality execution and talent retention.
  • Translate Azelis Group Sustainability Strategy into concrete, actionable job-related tasks and implement relevant sustainability KPIs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 7 years of proven commercial, sales, or business management experience, preferably within the specialty chemicals, food ingredients, or life sciences industries.
  • Demonstrated expertise in B2B relationship management, sales strategy execution, and key principal management.
  • Strong financial acumen with proven experience in budget management, P&L responsibility, and inventory control.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of coaching, developing, and retaining high-performing sales teams.
  • Proficiency in modern CRM systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics 365) and enterprise IT tools.
