About the Role
Changeroom, a premier human resource and business management consulting firm established in 2012, is looking for a driven Business Development Officer to join our team in Ikeja, Lagos. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving our company's growth by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing strategic partnerships, and expanding our market presence across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and growth opportunities.
- Generate new business leads through strategic networking, cold calling, referrals, and digital channels.
- Develop, maintain, and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations, pitches, and customized proposals that effectively showcase Changeroom's value propositions.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service terms to successfully close sales and partnership agreements.
- Collaborate closely with senior management and cross-functional teams, including marketing and operations, to align business development strategies with company goals.
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), budgets, and ROI to measure initiative effectiveness.
- Represent the company at prominent industry events, conferences, and networking functions to boost brand visibility.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of proven professional experience in business development, sales, or consulting.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a strong customer-centric approach.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
- Proficiency in utilizing CRM software and other modern business development tools.
- Ability to thrive under pressure, manage competing priorities, and consistently meet strict deadlines.
