About the Role
Aviot Investment Nigeria Limited, the Nigerian subsidiary of a Canadian finance and investment holding company, is hiring a Business Development Officer to drive institutional revenue growth across facilities management, procurement contracts, and structured trade finance. You will originate private-sector business with decision-makers across Lagos and support the close of complex trade finance transactions. Compensation is performance-based: you are paid exclusively on what you close and collect, not activity.
Key Responsibilities- Originate and close facilities and procurement contracts with private-sector institutional clients
- Identify and qualify leads within banking, industrial, education, healthcare, hospitality, and corporate sectors
- Support and structure complex trade finance deals from origination through collection
- Build and maintain a recurring revenue pipeline of institutional clients
- Manage sales pipeline with discipline using spreadsheet-based tracking and Google Workspace tools
- Conduct daily client engagement and site visits across Lagos
- Minimum 3+ years of proven B2B/institutional sales experience with verifiable closed deals
- Named, verifiable relationships with facilities and procurement decision-makers in Lagos private sector
- Demonstrated ability to prospect and close institutional contracts
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Spreadsheet competency and pipeline management discipline
- NYSC completion or exemption certificate required
- Comfort with AI tools and Google Workspace (mandatory)
- Based in Lagos with ability to travel daily to client sites
- Monthly base salary: ₦250,000–₦300,000
- Uncapped commission on collected contract value (5–8% first-year)
- Trailing residual on retained recurring accounts
- Realistic Year-1 OTE of ₦6M–₦10M+ for high-performing closers
