About the Role
PalmPay is building an innovative ecosystem to provide millions of customers with the best choice and value in digital financial services. We are expanding our footprint and seeking a passionate, results-driven Business Development Manager (Online Merchant) to lead online merchant acquisition, onboarding, and revenue growth across diverse sectors in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic plans to acquire new online merchants, driving transaction volume for solutions like Pay with Transfer, Pay with Wallet, and Payouts.
- Identify, engage, and onboard key fintech, e-commerce, and digital service partners.
- Build and manage robust relationships with online merchants and payment gateway partners.
- Collaborate with Product, Tech, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure seamless merchant integration.
- Analyze merchant performance data to identify trends, optimize revenue, and enhance retention.
- Ensure full compliance with AML/CFT requirements and internal risk policies.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in online merchant acquiring, fintech sales, or payment gateway management within Nigeria.
- Strong technical understanding of online payment channels and API integrations.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret transaction data and drive growth.
