About the Role
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development and Success Manager for our headquarters in Ibadan, Nigeria. In this role, you will champion youth-led enterprise growth, coordinate agribusiness incubation hubs, and facilitate strategic private-sector partnerships to enhance food security and economic sustainability across Africa.
Key Responsibilities- Design and coordinate business development interventions that promote the growth, competitiveness, and sustainability of youth-led enterprises.
- Provide strategic business advisory services covering business planning, financial management, operations, marketing, and enterprise expansion.
- Coordinate the establishment, operationalization, and effective management of Agribusiness Parks as enterprise incubation, innovation, and commercialization hubs.
- Promote market access by facilitating business linkages with buyers, off-takers, processors, aggregators, and financial institutions.
- Collaborate with the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team to track enterprise performance, document success stories, and measure project impact.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Agribusiness, Entrepreneurship, Agricultural Economics, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in agribusiness park management, enterprise development, SME support, or entrepreneurship.
- Demonstrated expertise in supporting MSMEs through business incubation, acceleration, and strategic advisory services.
- Strong understanding of agribusiness value chains, investment readiness, and market systems development in Nigeria.
- Excellent coaching, mentoring, stakeholder engagement, and technical report-writing skills.
