About the Role
PalmPay is rapidly expanding its innovative digital and financial services ecosystem across Nigeria, connecting millions of customers and business partners. We are currently seeking dynamic, field-driven Business Development Officers to join our growing team across Lagos, Osun, Kwara, Ekiti, and Ogun. In this role, you will play a crucial part in expanding our commercial footprint by engaging local business owners, introducing them to Flexi MFB products, and driving the adoption of seamless digital payment solutions like Pay With Transfer (PWT). Key Responsibilities- Proactively approach and engage business owners within assigned markets and commercial areas to promote digital financial services.
- Educate prospective merchants on the immense business benefits and ease of using Pay With Transfer (PWT) and other payment solutions.
- Successfully onboard new merchants, guiding them step-by-step through the business account opening and activation process.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with local merchants to ensure long-term platform engagement and transaction activity.
- Consistently meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly merchant acquisition and transaction volume targets through active field sales.
- No prior field sales or fintech experience is required, as comprehensive professional training will be provided upon resumption.
- Must currently reside in or be very familiar with commercial areas in Lagos, Osun, Kwara, Ekiti, or Ogun.
- Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse business owners persuasively.
