First Bank of Nigeria Limited is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Analyst to join our esteemed finance team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting financial planning, management information systems (MIS), budgeting, and strategic business performance analysis to sustain our market leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Finance Business Partner in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for various business units.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, variance analysis, and trend reporting to drive business performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for senior leadership and regulatory bodies.
- Develop business cases and robust financial models to support strategic projects, new initiatives, and product launches.
- Cascade business unit budgets to groups, teams, desks, and relationship managers while generating accurate scorecards.
- Perform customer profitability analyses for relationship managers and facilitate robust performance dialogues.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory standards within the Nigerian banking sector.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, risk, and finance departments to resolve MIS issues and drive process improvements.
- First Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Science, or Engineering.
- Master’s Degree or relevant professional certification such as ACA, CIBN, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in MIS, finance, forecasting, budgeting, or accounting roles within the financial sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in Management Information Systems (MIS) and scorecard generation.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, advanced analytics tools, and SQL.
