About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Blistering Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient operation, setup, and maintenance of blister packaging machines, ensuring our pharmaceutical products meet the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate blister packing machines to package tablets and capsules according to approved batch manufacturing and packaging instructions.
  • Perform machine setup, adjustments, and rapid changeover activities for different products and batch sizes.
  • Ensure correct and secure loading of packaging materials including PVC, PVDC, aluminum foil, and printed materials.
  • Monitor machine parameters and output continuously to achieve optimal efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct routine in-process quality checks such as sealing integrity, print accuracy, and batch coding.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation including batch records, equipment logbooks, and downtime reports.
  • Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of equipment and production areas in strict compliance with SOPs and GMP standards.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and report mechanical or operational issues to the maintenance team promptly.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures, including the proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall productivity and reduce operational waste.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of O’Level (WAEC / NECO) or equivalent educational qualification; relevant technical certification will be an added advantage.
  • Proven professional experience of 5 to 10 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing, specifically focusing on blister packaging operations.
  • Solid, practical understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and pharmaceutical regulatory standards.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and proven problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, communicate clearly, and adhere strictly to safety and quality protocols.
