About the Role
Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited, a leading name in the Nigerian pharmaceutical industry known for popular brands like Vitaclox and Vitacillin, is seeking a skilled Blistering Machine Operator for our ultra-modern facility in Ikeja, Lagos. You will play a crucial role in operating, setting up, and maintaining automated blister packaging equipment to deliver quality, affordable healthcare products to the market.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor automatic and semi-automatic blister packaging machines in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Perform machine setups, product changeovers, format adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
- Conduct routine in-process quality checks for seal integrity, tablet counts, blister formation, and batch printing accuracy.
- Execute and document thorough line clearance procedures prior to batch production.
- Ensure proper material reconciliation, minimizing waste and preventing cross-contamination.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness, hygiene standards, and accurate production logbooks.
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience operating blister packaging machines within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Minimum qualification of SSCE/OND, with an OND or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Technology being a strong advantage.
- Deep working knowledge of GMP, SOPs, batch packaging records, and in-process quality controls.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by production schedules.
