In this vital role, you will ensure the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our medical equipment, directly supporting our mission to deliver high-quality, accessible healthcare.
Key Responsibilities- Install, calibrate, test, maintain, and repair a wide range of medical and biomedical equipment.
- Execute comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize clinical downtime.
- Diagnose equipment faults swiftly, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate external vendor repairs when necessary.
- Ensure all biomedical devices comply with relevant regulatory standards, safety protocols, and hospital policies.
- Maintain precise documentation of all equipment servicing, calibration history, and repair logs.
- Collaborate with procurement teams during the evaluation, acquisition, and commissioning of new medical technology.
- Provide expert technical guidance and training to clinical staff on the safe handling and operation of medical devices.
- Respond promptly to urgent equipment-related emergencies and breakdowns within the hospital environment.
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng./B.Sc.) in Biomedical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting within a hospital setting.
- Strong working knowledge of medical instrumentation, diagnostic tools, and safety regulations.
- Relevant professional certifications and active registration with applicable bodies will be an added advantage.
