About the Role

BorderlessHR is seeking a skilled and dedicated Biomedical Engineer to support our expanding healthcare facility design, installation, and maintenance portfolio across Nigeria. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of biomedical equipment, ensuring that all medical systems integrate seamlessly into healthcare infrastructure projects while meeting rigorous safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical biomedical engineering expertise during the design, planning, and execution of healthcare projects.
  • Manage the selection, installation, testing, commissioning, and integration of medical equipment.
  • Perform routine calibration, preventive maintenance, functional testing, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Review equipment specifications, technical drawings, and procurement bids while supporting supplier evaluations.
  • Collaborate with architects, M&E engineers, project managers, and healthcare professionals on site.
  • Ensure full compliance with ISO standards, WHO guidelines, and Nigerian healthcare regulations.
  • Train end-users and healthcare personnel on the safe operation and basic maintenance of installed equipment.

Qualifications
  • B.Sc., HND, or Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in hospitals, diagnostic centers, or healthcare infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on technical proficiency with patient monitors, ventilators, ultrasound machines, and imaging equipment like X-rays, CT, or MRI scanners.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment calibration, safety standards, asset management, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills.
