Ferscoat International Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Biology Teacher to join our dynamic team of educators in Nigeria. In this role, you will inspire students aged 10 to 16 by delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned science lessons that foster critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and a lifelong passion for learning. Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Biology lessons to students aged 10 to 16, tailored to various learning styles and ability levels.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate academic records.
- Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and curiosity.
- Supervise laboratory experiments and practical sessions, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school administration to develop effective science curricula and participate in school activities.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and overall development.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed) or a Master's degree in a relevant biological science discipline with a teaching certification.
- Proven teaching experience of 2 to 9 years within a recognized secondary or middle school setting.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in utilizing educational technology for virtual and in-person learning.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
