About the Role
Fou'ad Lababidi Islamic Academy (FLIA), established in 1995, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Basic Science & Technology Teacher to join our experienced teaching team. As part of the Muslim Community Centre's commitment to delivering excellence in Islamic and Western education, FLIA has consistently maintained a 89-100% distinction and credit pass rate in WAEC/NECO examinations. Our institution is equipped with standard Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Food & Nutrition laboratories, computer facilities, and e-learning resources to support effective teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in Basic Science & Technology to secondary school students
- Utilize laboratory facilities and e-learning tools to enhance student understanding and practical skills
- Prepare students effectively for WAEC and NECO examinations
- Create a conducive learning environment that integrates Islamic values with scientific knowledge
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain the Academy's high academic standards
- Participate in curriculum development and professional development activities
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) or NCE in Basic Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related disciplines
- Mandatory computer literacy and proficiency with digital teaching tools
- Teaching Registration Council (TRC) certificate is highly advantageous
- Previous teaching experience is an added advantage
