About the Role
Farm City Abuja, a premier 24-hour hospitality and lifestyle brand located in Wuse 2, Abuja, is looking for a dynamic and hardworking Barback to join our vibrant team. As a Barback, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the fast-paced efficiency of our bar, lounge, and restaurant operations. You will work closely with our bartenders to deliver top-tier service to guests enjoying our diverse dining, relaxation, and entertainment offerings.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the bartender with daily bar operations, opening, and closing duties.
- Ensure the bar is adequately stocked with glassware, ice, liquor, beer, mixers, and other essential supplies.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety behind the bar and in surrounding guest areas.
- Clean and sanitize bar equipment, surfaces, tools, and seating areas regularly throughout the shift.
- Transport empty kegs, cases of beer, and heavy boxes of supplies as needed.
- Handle waste disposal efficiently and manage inventory rotations.
- Provide prompt, courteous support to bartenders and assist in serving customers when required.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, health, and safety regulations.
- Previous experience working as a barback, busser, or in a similar support role within a busy restaurant, hotel, bar, or lounge.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure 24-hour hospitality environment.
