We are currently seeking a meticulous and analytical Background Checks & Due Diligence Officer to join our dynamic team and drive our verification and compliance operations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive employee and candidate background checks in line with established compliance procedures.
- Verify academic qualifications, past employment history, professional references, and other relevant credentials.
- Carry out thorough due diligence investigations to identify potential risks, discrepancies, and red flags.
- Prepare accurate, comprehensive, and professional verification reports for stakeholders.
- Liaise professionally with external institutions, regulatory bodies, and referees during the verification process.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and securely manage sensitive candidate and client information.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all completed background checks.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Prior experience in background verification, investigations, compliance, audit, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to draft detailed reports.
