We are looking for a driven Backend Developer Intern to join our dynamic team in Nigeria to support the development and maintenance of robust server-side components. Key Responsibilities- Assist in developing and maintaining scalable backend services and REST APIs.
- Implement application business logic based on product requirements.
- Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL for schema design and queries.
- Integrate third-party services, payment gateways, and external APIs.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and data security best practices.
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code while fixing backend bugs.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and write unit tests.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product stakeholders using Git and GitHub.
- Completed relevant backend training with a verifiable personal, group, or live project in your portfolio.
- Basic understanding of JavaScript and/or TypeScript, Node.js, and frameworks like NestJS or Express.js.
- Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP protocols.
- Basic knowledge of authentication concepts (JWT, sessions, RBAC) and Git version control.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a high willingness to learn.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
