About the Role
Noemdek Limited is looking for a talented and driven Backend Developer to join our dynamic engineering team in Nigeria. In this role, you will manage the data interchange between users and servers, focusing on developing server-side logic, maintaining central databases, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests. You will work alongside top-tier strategists, data scientists, and front-end developers to deliver high-impact solutions for our diverse clients across healthcare, financial services, and oil and gas.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain RESTful web services and scalable microservices-based systems.
- Develop and integrate robust Application Program Interfaces (APIs) and third-party services.
- Integrate multiple databases and data sources into a unified system while handling data migration and backups.
- Participate in agile software development, prototyping, testing, and comprehensive code reviews.
- Collaborate closely with front-end developers, system engineers, and cross-functional teams to align software architecture with business needs.
- Conduct impact assessments and recommend modern technology choices, design considerations, and scalability strategies.
- Proficiency in server-side scripting languages such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, or PHP.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of relational and non-relational database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Proven experience with RESTful API development, integration, and version control systems, especially Git.
- Solid understanding of web security principles, best practices, and application scaling.
