About the Role
Uniccon Group is building Africa’s economy through innovative technology solutions, and we are currently seeking a passionate and driven Avionics Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in wiring, integrating, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining advanced UAV and drone electronic systems, sensors, flight controllers, and power architectures. Key Responsibilities- Wire, assemble, and integrate critical drone hardware including flight controllers, ESCs, GPS/GNSS, IMUs, sensors, and telemetry units.
- Read circuit schematics, perform basic soldering, and diagnose/repair hardware failures within UAV power and communication setups.
- Conduct rigorous bench and field tests to verify the signal integrity, power delivery, and sensor accuracy of drone avionics systems.
- Minimum of an ND or HND in Avionics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline. Fresh graduates with strong hands-on skills are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of UAV avionics, embedded systems, and core hardware communication protocols.
- Demonstrated practical experience with drones, RC aircraft, circuit schematic interpretation, and fine soldering.
