About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading industrial conglomerate, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Auto Electrical Workshop / Service Engineer to join our operations at DSR Numan. In this vital role, you will play a key part in maintaining our heavy-duty fleet and agricultural machinery to drive operational efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and supervise electrical maintenance activities for tractors, harvesters, loaders, heavy-duty equipment, and fleet vehicles.
- Coordinate electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics to ensure timely identification and rectification of electrical and electronic faults.
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems including charging systems, lighting, sensors, wiring harnesses, and electronic control systems.
- Coordinate with Stores and Procurement to ensure timely availability of electrical spare parts, batteries, alternators, starters, relays, sensors, and accessories.
- Monitor the quality of electrical repairs to ensure they are completed correctly at the first instance, eliminating repeat failures.
- Review maintenance records and technical reports to analyze recurring electrical faults and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to electrical supervisors, technicians, and workshop personnel.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, OEM recommendations, and safety standards during all maintenance activities.
- B.Sc. or HND in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as NATE or COREN is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the electrical maintenance of heavy-duty equipment, tractors, harvesters, loaders, and fleet vehicles.
