About the Role
Tojum Hospitality, a leading hospitality management consultancy in Nigeria, is seeking a meticulous and analytical Auditor / Cost Controller on behalf of our esteemed client, Isaac Sam Lounge & Lodging Limited. Located in the vibrant area of Ring Road, Ibadan, our client is dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high operational standards. We are looking for a dedicated professional who will play a crucial role in safeguarding the company's financial health by monitoring expenditures, conducting regular audits, and implementing robust cost-control measures across all departments.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and evaluate daily financial operations, revenue streams, and expenditures across all departments.
- Conduct routine and surprise audits of inventory, procurement, and point-of-sale transactions to prevent financial leakages.
- Analyze food, beverage, and operational costs to identify variance and recommend actionable cost-saving strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies, statutory regulations, and internal control procedures.
- Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly cost and audit reports for management review.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop accurate budgets and financial forecasts.
- Oversee stock-taking activities and reconcile physical inventories with system records.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience as an Auditor or Cost Controller, preferably within the hospitality or service industry.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, auditing standards, and inventory management.
- Exceptional analytical skills with high proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various hotel departments.
