About the Role
HR-on-Wheels is recruiting an experienced Audit Team Lead / Assistant Manager on behalf of our esteemed client to manage comprehensive audit engagements, supervise talented teams, and deliver exceptional financial solutions to dynamic startups and SMEs across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage statutory and non-statutory audit engagements from initial planning to final completion.
- Review audit working papers, financial statements, and audit files to ensure strict compliance with IFRS and ISA.
- Supervise, mentor, and foster the professional development of junior audit team members.
- Evaluate internal control systems, identify business risks, and provide actionable, practical recommendations.
- Manage client relationships, resolve complex queries, and communicate vital audit findings effectively.
- Oversee engagement budgets, strict timelines, thorough documentation, and billing processes.
- Support business development initiatives, draft winning proposals, and facilitate smooth client onboarding.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive audit experience, including 1 to 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
- Mandatory possession of the ICAN professional qualification.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, ISA, and extant Nigerian tax laws.
- Demonstrated proficiency in CaseWare and other modern accounting or audit software.
- Exceptional leadership, analytical, communication, and client relationship management skills.
