About the Role
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Nigeria is looking for a driven and talented Assurance Senior Associate to join our dynamic external audit practice. In this role, you will work with well-known global brands and fast-growing local entities, utilizing cutting-edge technology to enhance corporate governance, reduce manual testing, and deliver high-quality assurance solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead external audit engagements for clients, with a strong focus on the financial services sector.
- Delegate tasks to junior team members, providing coaching and stretch opportunities to ensure high-performance delivery.
- Apply critical thinking to analyze unstructured problems and extract industry insights using advanced audit tools.
- Review engagement work for quality, accuracy, compliance, and relevance against regulatory standards.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while effectively communicating findings and resolving engagement conflicts.
- Uphold PwC's strict code of ethics, business conduct, and quality standards across all assignments.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional external audit experience gained within a reputable consulting or audit firm.
- Active ACA or ACCA qualification (or recognized international equivalent).
- Deep technical knowledge and practical application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Thorough understanding of regulatory pronouncements applicable to the financial services sector.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage tight deadlines, and juggle multiple commitments.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
