Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures and clinical instruction to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
  • Conduct impactful, peer-reviewed research and secure research grants to enhance the department's academic standing.
  • Provide clinical services and supervision at university-affiliated teaching hospitals and healthcare facilities.
  • Mentor junior faculty members, resident doctors, and students to foster academic and professional growth.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, departmental administration, and university committees as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Possession of an MBBS or equivalent primary medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Appropriate higher postgraduate medical qualifications (such as FWACS, FNMCP, or equivalent) relevant to the rank of Associate Professor/Reader.
  • Demonstrated extensive teaching, research, clinical, and scholarly experience commensurate with the position.
  • Strong publication record in reputable peer-reviewed national and international journals.
  • Active registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) along with a valid current practicing license.
  • Proven capacity for academic leadership, mentorship, and community service.
