About the Role

Established in 2022 under the National Universities Commission regulations, we operate across our main campus in Delta State and our specialized medical campus in Abuja. We are currently inviting applications from suitably qualified, dynamic, and erudite academics for the position of Associate Professor/Reader in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science within the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in teaching, curriculum development, and quality assurance within the Department of Medical Laboratory Science.
- Engage in high-impact research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and committees.
- Establish academic linkages, clinical partnerships, and community engagement initiatives that enhance the profile of the university.
- Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to the professional growth of the department.
- Possess a relevant Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognized and accredited university.
- Hold a Ph.D. in Medical Laboratory Science or a closely related discipline from a reputable institution.
- Hold a current registration and possess a valid practicing license with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- Demonstrate comprehensive teaching, research, clinical, and administrative experience commensurate with the rank of Associate Professor/Reader.
- Provide verifiable evidence of robust scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills suited for a modern academic environment.
