About the Role
The Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academics for the position of Associate Professor in Pharmacology and Toxicology within the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lectures in Pharmacology and Toxicology to undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, as well as Master's and Ph.D. dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable national and international academic journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic committee work.
- Contribute to community engagement initiatives and advance the institutional goals of Federal University Lafia.
- Must currently hold the rank of Associate Professor or be a senior academic ready for progression with extensive university teaching experience.
- Possess a Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Toxicology, or a closely related relevant field from a recognized university.
- Demonstrate a strong portfolio of academic leadership with at least fifteen (15) publications in reputable international and national journals.
- Proven track record of successfully supervising postgraduate students at both the Master's and Ph.D. levels.
- Evidence of outstanding and continuing contributions to teaching, research, and academic administration.
