About the Role
Federal University Lafia invites dynamic and accomplished academic leaders to apply for the position of Associate Professor in Petroleum Information Management within our esteemed Faculty of Management Sciences. Established in 2011, our institution is dedicated to fostering academic excellence, innovative research, and national development. As an Associate Professor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of petroleum information management education, mentoring the next generation of industry leaders, and driving impactful research within a vibrant academic community located in the heart of Nasarawa State.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Petroleum Information Management and related management sciences disciplines.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, as well as Master's and Ph.D. theses to completion.
- Conduct cutting-edge research and publish scholarly articles in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals.
- Contribute actively to curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic planning within the Faculty of Management Sciences.
- Participate in community service initiatives and foster strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders in the petroleum and information sectors.
- Must currently hold the rank of Associate Professor or be a senior academic ready for progression with extensive university teaching experience.
- Possess a Ph.D. in Petroleum Information Management, Information Technology, Management Sciences, or a closely related relevant field from a recognized university.
- Demonstrate a robust academic portfolio with a minimum of fifteen (15) publications in reputable international and national journals.
- Show proven experience in successfully supervising postgraduate students at both the Master's and Ph.D. levels.
- Provide verifiable evidence of outstanding and continuing contributions to teaching, research, and academic leadership.
