Greenland University, Jalingo, the premier private university in Taraba State, Nigeria, invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academics for the position of Associate Professor in the Faculty of Allied Health Science. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide visionary leadership in teaching, research, and curriculum development within the Department of Nursing Science.
- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and theses.
- Publish high-impact research in reputable peer-reviewed journals to advance the department's academic standing.
- Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to faculty development initiatives.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university committees, as well as community engagement programs.
- Ensure compliance with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards and relevant professional nursing bodies.
Candidates must meet the following academic and professional criteria:
- Hold a PhD in Nursing Science or a closely related relevant field from a recognized university.
- Must have served for a minimum of 2 years as a Senior Lecturer.
- Possess at least 20 peer-reviewed journal publications in reputable outlets, including a minimum of 4 publications indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
- Demonstrable ICT proficiency with the ability to leverage digital tools in teaching and research.
- Active membership in relevant professional nursing and health bodies.
- Mandatory possession of a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate or exemption certificate.
