Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures and practical sessions in Medical Microbiology to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
- Supervise postgraduate student research theses and provide comprehensive academic mentorship.
- Conduct cutting-edge, peer-reviewed research and secure external research grants to enhance the university's academic profile.
- Contribute to curriculum development, course design, and the continuous improvement of the Medical Microbiology programme.
- Participate actively in departmental, college, and university committees, administrative duties, and community service initiatives.
- Foster partnerships with healthcare institutions and industry stakeholders to promote collaborative research and practical learning opportunities.
- Must possess a PhD in Medical Microbiology or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of cognate university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
- A strong, demonstrable record of peer-reviewed publications in reputable local and international journals.
- Proven capacity for effective postgraduate teaching, student supervision, and academic leadership.
- Current professional registration and a valid practising licence where applicable.
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for modern digital pedagogy and research.
