We are currently seeking a dynamic and academically distinguished Associate Professor in Health Information Management to join our esteemed College of Science and Allied Health Sciences. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals by delivering world-class instruction, driving innovative research, and providing strong academic leadership within the department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in the Department of Health Information Management through innovative curriculum delivery and course coordination.
- Teach, mentor, and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in research projects.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and contribute significantly to the academic standing of the university.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
- Engage in community service and foster professional partnerships relevant to health information management.
- Must possess a PhD in Health Information Management or a closely related relevant discipline.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of cognate university teaching and research experience.
- A strong, verifiable record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Proven capacity and experience in postgraduate teaching and thesis supervision.
- Demonstrated evidence of academic leadership, ICT proficiency, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Current professional registration and a valid practising licence where applicable.
