Federal University Lafia, a fast-growing institution established in 2011 to promote academic excellence in Nigeria, is inviting qualified academics to apply for the position of Associate Professor of French within the Faculty of Arts. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures, seminars, and tutorials in French language and literature to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects as well as Master's and Ph.D. theses.
- Design, update, and evaluate curricula to meet national and international academic standards.
- Conduct impactful research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed international and national journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and committees.
- Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to the overall academic growth of the department.
- Must currently hold the rank of Associate Professor or be a senior academic ready for transition.
- Possess a Ph.D. in French or a closely related and relevant field from a recognized university.
- Demonstrate a strong record of outstanding and continuing teaching experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have a minimum of fifteen (15) scholarly publications in reputable international and national journals.
- Proven track record of successfully supervising postgraduate students at both Master's and Ph.D. levels.
