About the Role
The Federal University Lafia invites dynamic and suitably qualified academics to apply for the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice, within our rapidly growing Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. As an Associate Professor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of pharmacists, advancing pharmaceutical research, and contributing to the intellectual and clinical development of the university community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures and practical training to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, as well as Master's and Ph.D. dissertations.
- Conduct cutting-edge research and publish scholarly articles in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic mentoring for junior faculty members.
- Engage in community service initiatives and professional outreach programs that promote public health and clinical pharmacy standards.
- Must currently hold the rank of Associate Professor or be a senior academic ready for transition with extensive university teaching experience.
- Possess a Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacy Practice, or a closely related relevant discipline.
- Demonstrate a strong track record of academic achievement with a minimum of fifteen (15) publications in reputable international and national journals.
- Proven experience in successfully supervising postgraduate students at both Master's and Ph.D. levels.
- Evidence of continuous academic contribution, active research grants, and active participation in relevant professional bodies.
